When Ryan and Ella hired me to be their Breckenridge engagement photographer, we worked together to find the most perfect location for their session. I know that meeting Ryan and Ella was no mistake. We met under the most perfect circumstances. I couldn’t help but believe that our time spent together was just meant to be!

Finding The Perfect Breckenridge Engagement Photographer

Ryan and Ella were taking a road trip across the country and found themselves traveling through Colorado. Only a few days before reaching Colorado, Ryan reached out to me saying that they were going to be in town for a few days. They were looking for a Breckenridge engagement photographer to take some photos of them while they were here. We were lucky enough to find an open date on my calendar. (Like I said, very luck). They picked a morning session. Their session was scheduled on the same day that I was booked to fly out to Minnesota. Over the phone, they told me they wanted to do their engagement photos in Breckenridge. They wanted a lake and a waterfall with a view of the mountains. We decided on Blue Lakes. Engagement Photos in Breckenridge

We met at the end of a dirt road a half hour before the sun even rose. They both cautioned me that they were super awkward in front of the camera and would need a lot of direction with posing. I assured them that they were probably less awkward then they thought. And let me tell you what, the session was an absolute dream!! The location, the couple, the lighting… everything about our time together was perfect!

As the sun peaked out over the mountain top, beams of sunlight poured into the valley. Lighting up the alpine lake tucked between two mountain ranges. We spent the morning enjoying the sunrise and welcomed the comforting sound of the morning birds. We relished in the beauty of the location, enjoyed each other’s company, and shared a few laughs. As the morning drew on, we explored some other areas around the lake. They also decided to recreate a few images from their original proposal (since none of their family knew of their engagement yet). Ella had so much fun faking the surprise face that came with Ryan’s lighthearted “proposal”.

Going Our Separate Ways

By this time, the sun was well overhead and I had a plane to catch back in Denver at the Denver International Airport. We shared a few hugs and I congratulated them again on their engagement. As I drove back down the dirt road towards the main road, my heart was so full of joy. I felt like I had made two new wonderful friends and I was so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to be their Breckenridge engagement photographer. I spent the whole drive back down to Denver smiling and cheesing so hard. Our time together really was meant to be and I am so fortunate to have met these two wonderful people.
