Romantic Adventure Elopement in Crested Butte CO

It was so much fun getting to be a part of Alyssa and Jarris’ romantic adventure elopement in Crested Butte, CO. It was a day filled with love, exploration, and personal touches that really helped to thell their love story.

Crested Butte is a beautiful, cozy mountain town filled with stunning aspen forests, wildflower fields, and scenic views. The couple got married in early September and luckily still managed to have some wildflowers in the backdrop!

Getting Ready & First Looks

Alyssa and Jarris got ready in a rustic log cabin. They chose to share their day with their families, and it was sweet to witness their moms help them with all the final touches to their attire.

Alyssa wanted to do a first look with her dad, and it was a beautiful, emotional moment. This also shows how your elopement day can be exactly what YOU want it to be! If you want to include some tradition and your closest loved ones – WHY NOT?

After the first look with her dad, Alyssa headed over to meet Jarris. His reaction was so precious and you could really tell how in love both of them are with each other. After enjoying the moment for a bit, it was time to meet their families for the elopement ceremony.

Beautiful Elopement Ceremony with Family

Alyssa’s dad walked her down the aisle. And by aisle I mean the beautiful trail leading to the mountain view ceremony spot.

Surrounded by the lush green fields and mountain peaks, Alyssa and Jarris exchanged their vows. The ceremony was EVERYTHING! It was filled with laughter, happy tears, and so much love. After the ceremony, we captured family portraits. The couple hugged and thanked their loved ones for being with them during one of the most important days of their life, and then we headed off onto the adventures!

The Adventurous Part of Crested Butte Adventure Elopement

After saying goodbye to friends and family, we got in a car and did some mild off-roading to a more remote location in Crested Butte. We settled down for a cute picnic surrounded by mountains and a beautiful alpine lake shore.  It was a sweet little pitstop before wandering the fields and trails!

They set out a blanket and shared some homemade sandwiches while laughing and enjoying each other’s company. During their picnic, the couple also exchanged “wedding bears” that they had made for each other at a Build-A-Bear Workshop which was so cute!

After the picnic, the couple did some more exploring around the lake and nearby trails and fields. While we were capturing photos at the lake, a friendly dog ran up to the couple, which was so fun and sweet!

As the sun dipped below the mountains, Alyssa and Jarris concluded their day with “wedding s’mores” around a campfire. Who needs cake, right? And after sharing the dessert, we captured some final photos in the dark with lanterns and those came out absolutely dreamy!
