Thrilled To Be Mollie & Andres’s Colorado Engagement Photographer
When I met Mollie and Andres to be their Colorado engagement photographer, I instantly fell in love with them. Right from the start I knew they had something special. They had that rare and unique kind of love that we all crave. Their energy was electric and I knew, before we even got started, that I was in for a good time.
I met Mollie and Andres near the Lake Isabell trailhead near Boulder to start our adventure. From the parking lot, we hiked for about a mile until we found a quite and secluded lake. They decided that this was the perfect location for them. The way the sun was peaking through the clouds created this beautiful golden light. And as their Colorado engagement photographer, I was giddy to get started and ready to create some magic with these two beautiful souls.
The Most Electric Colorado Engagement Session
Despite Mollie and Andre’s nerves about being in front of the camera, the session started out with so much energy! We were all so excited with the location and the magic of the setting sun. They had even brought their sweet dog to the session. She was a rescue and had such a big personality. We spent half the time simply enjoying the company of their fur baby and laughing at her perfect little quirks.
The first half of the engagement session was fast paced and SO fun!! We included their dog in so many of their initial photos. Afterwards, we explored the area a little bit more getting closer the the water’s edge and hiking through some of the trees. There was laughter the entire time. We were all having so much fun that we hardly noticed that the sun had slipped behind the hillside. Regardless, we kept shooting. We kept exploring.
Even though the sun had set, we still had enough light to continue walking around the lake. Taking pictures as we went. I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t and running, jumping, skipping or dancing. Mollie and Andres were literally down for anything. They were a Colorado engagement photographer’s dream. They even included a little horse play and piggy back rides (I mean who doesn’t love a piggy back ride?).
The Hike Back To The Parking Lot
By now, it was starting to get dark and we reached the end of the session. Needless to say, Mollie and Andres absolutely nailed their engagement session! Afterwards, we made the one mile hike back up to the parking lot. We passed the time chatting about how they met and their beautiful proposal. We dreamed about traveling and swapped the most incredible travel stories.
When we got back to our respective vehicles, there was a sense of hesitancy. We just had the most incredible time together and I don’t think any one of us wanted it to end. We continued to talk in the empty parking lot until we almost couldn’t see each other. And when the parking lot light flickered on, we took that as our sign to finally pack up and head home.
A Happy Heart
I left this session as Mollie & Andres’s Colorado engagement photographer feeling so fulfilled. My heart was bursting with love for these two and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. Congratulations again Mollie and Andres on your engagement! Cheers to you next grand adventure!
